About this collection

Blue suits, cut to your measurements. Blue is the largest and most misunderstood family in tailoring, because "blue" covers everything from a deep navy that reads almost black to a powder blue that could not be worn to a funeral. Choosing the right one matters more than choosing blue at all.

The map

Navy and deep navy — the most useful suit colour in existence. Business, weddings, evening, everything. If you own one suit, it is this or charcoal.

Midnight blue — reads darker than navy under artificial light and richer than black. The connoisseur's evening colour, and the correct choice for a tuxedo.

Slate blue — greyed-down, modern, photographs beautifully. Sits between navy and grey and belongs to neither.

Sky, powder and baby blue — summer, daytime, outdoors. Wedding guests and grooms in warm climates. Never a boardroom.

Cobalt and royal blue — saturated and confident. A statement, and one that needs a perfect cut to survive.

Why blue flatters almost everyone

Blue is the one colour that works across nearly every complexion, which is why it dominates menswear. It is also the colour that most rewards good cloth: a cheap blue worsted looks flat and slightly purple; a good wool has depth in it that changes with the light.
