Our Story – Alterations & Adjustments

The Promise of a Perfect Fit

A tailored suit is a promise. It is a commitment that the garment will not only look sharp but also move with you, fit you, and make you feel confident in every step. But tailoring is as personal as fingerprints — sometimes, even with the most precise measurements, a suit may need fine-tuning.

That is why we built our Alterations & Adjustments Policy. Because perfection doesn’t end when the suit arrives — it continues until you are satisfied.

Every suit is made to your measurements — and perfected until it is truly yours.

Why Alterations Are a Natural Part of Tailoring

Even the finest tailors in the world will tell you: every body is unique. Shoulders slope differently, postures vary, and everyone stands, walks, and sits in their own way. A suit may look flawless on paper, but real life can reveal subtle adjustments that make all the difference.

  • Small tweaks → Hemming sleeves, adjusting trouser length.
  • Fit refinements → Tapering the waist, slimming a sleeve.
  • Comfort adjustments → Letting out trousers slightly for movement.
Alterations are not a flaw in the process — they are the finishing chapter of the suit’s story.

Our Alterations & Adjustments Policy

We want you to shop with confidence, knowing that we stand by the fit of every garment.

  • First Alterations Included: If your suit requires minor adjustments within a set timeframe (e.g., 30 days of delivery), we cover the cost.
  • Approved Tailors Network: Visit one of our trusted tailoring partners or choose your own local tailor (with pre-approval).
  • Reimbursement Process: Simply send us the receipt, and we’ll reimburse approved alteration costs up to an agreed amount.
  • Fit Guarantee: If the suit requires more than minor alterations, we’ll remake it at no additional charge.
We call this our Perfect Fit Guarantee — because your satisfaction is our measure of success.

What Can Be Adjusted?

Most suits are designed with “allowance” built into the seams, meaning tailors can make precise changes after delivery.

  • Jacket: sleeve length, waist suppression, minor shoulder refinements, shortening the length.
  • Trousers: hemming, waist in or out, tapering the legs, seat adjustments.
  • Waistcoat: taking in or letting out the waist, adjusting strap tension.

With professional tailoring, these refinements transform “a great suit” into your suit.

What Cannot Be Altered?

Some structural details are less flexible:

  • Lapel width and style (notch, peak, shawl).
  • Jacket shoulders (major reconstruction is not recommended).
  • Button stance (position of buttonholes).

That is why accurate measurements are important upfront — but rest assured, most fine-tuning is covered by alterations.

Alterations by Occasion

  • Weddings → A groom’s three-piece suit may need last-minute trouser tapering or waistcoat adjustments — especially with pre-wedding weight changes.
  • Business → Daily-wear suits often need sleeve or trouser hemming to match different shoe styles.
  • Evening / Formal → Tuxedos may require waist suppression to achieve a sharper V-shape.

The Alterations Process

  1. Try on at home → Wear your full suit with shirt and shoes.
  2. Note adjustments → Pay attention to sleeve length, trouser break, waist comfort.
  3. Local tailor visit → Take your suit to one of our approved tailors or a trusted local tailor.
  4. Submit receipt → If adjustments are within policy, send us proof and we’ll reimburse you.
  5. Enjoy the fit → Step out in confidence, knowing your suit was perfected just for you.

Why Alterations Show Our Commitment

Fast-fashion brands rarely talk about alterations — because they don’t expect you to keep the garment for long. We are different. We want your suit to last for years, to grow with you, to carry your story. That’s why our Alterations & Adjustments policy is not a backup plan — it is part of our philosophy.
